Purim Party

PURIM PARTY

Purim begins on sundown Thursday, March 20th, and the Havura will be celebrating with a community party with food and lots of merriment, grogger-making for the kids, the reading of the Megilla, traditional hamentaschen cookies, music and dancing.  Come with a costume or funny hat and something to make noise with, and help celebrate the story of Esther.  Remember, Friday is a statutory holiday.

Time:  Festivities begin at 5:45 p.m.

Place:  Spencer Hall Boardroom, 4th floor of Spencer Hall on the MUN campus.

HAMANTASCHEN COOKIE BAKE

We are planning a hamantashen cookie bake on Sunday, March 16.  Contact Ruth Noel at rnoel@nf.sympatico.ca or 753-6225 for time and location information, or if you need a ride.  Children are welcome.  Proposed time is 10 am to 1 pm.
